Peter is a truly global executive. Highly experienced, having led HR functions for some of the world’s best-known companies.

He held senior positions in companies as diverse as Zurich Insurance, AIG, Estee Lauder, Merrill Lynch, BP, Allied Domecq, and Unilever. He has travelled extensively
and worked on every continent. He is highly skilled in leading organizations and
executive teams through significant growth, crisis, and business transformation, including mergers and acquisitions divestitures, restructuring, organisational transformation, and public offerings.

At the beginning of 2014, Peter took his many years of experience and applied it to
the founding of his own consultancy Acorn Strategy Consulting. This
boutique consultancy specialised in helping companies improve their Organisational
Effectiveness, Leadership, and Talent Management capabilities. In 2016 Peter merged
his consultancy and became a Partner in Leadership Forum Inc. Peter has now decided to move on and form a new company taking the role of CEO and Founder of OFC.

In addition to his corporate experience, Peter is a business entrepreneur. In 2007
he co-founded Global Energy Talent, a business dedicated to the recruitment and
deployment of people and the provision of ancillary services to oil and energy companies.

Peter has a unique lens on the realities of global leadership and business transformation.

A true citizen of the world he is frequently invited to write, teach, speak and consult for businesses, executive education schools, and non-profit organisations. He has
a challenging and motivational style but most of all he is respected for delivering tailormade, effective and sustainable business solutions.

Cliff is a commercially minded and people-focused global executive, with learning and experience gained from more than 30 years in top global companies in commercial and Human Resources leadership roles.

He has held senior positions in Eli Lilly, Mead Johnson, and Verifone, all world leaders in their fields.  Having lived and worked in nine countries on four continents, and travelled to many more, he has gained valuable insights into the intriguing variety of human culture and customs, and how these affect the way people do business and work together.

He has developed skills in helping executive leadership teams collaborate to develop and implement their business plans, whether this is growth, creating a new business or redirecting an existing one, or planning for and managing the smooth integration of acquisitions.  Recently he has been helping build skills for today’s world of frequent change.  His track record of business results includes establishing practices for early identification and rapid development of future leaders, along with the culture to support this important endeavour and sustain an organization’s success.

Cliff’s approach with business leaders in the analysis of business challenges is one of curious and friendly challenge, and he takes care to develop practical solutions that will work for the business leaders and their organization in their unique context.

Cliff is also a trained coach, and he does some non-executive work in education, where he spent the first five years of his working life.

Sue Rout

Sue Rout - Associate Consultant

Sue is a highly experienced FCIPD qualified and business focused Human Resources Director with extensive expertise in generalist Human Resource leadership within Global prestige retail sales and marketing, consumer facing, multi-site, multi-brand environments.  She has held senior roles covering the UK, EMEA and Global.

She has a true generalist HR background including over 30 years’ experience at Estee Lauder Companies covering a multitude of areas.   Sue has worked with Senior Executives to create the business strategy, adapting it to the HR strategy, embracing the team to achieve, organisational development, regulatory, talent acquisition, learning and development, crisis management, immigration and expatriation, compensation and benefits, policies and procedures.     She has worked in large matrix structures as well as ‘Start Ups’.

Her strong commercial approach combined with a genuine people-focused style has facilitated her expertise in being a mentor and coach to business leaders.   This is balanced with her ability to lead, inspire, communicate and coach individuals and teams at all levels demonstrating a natural and supportive style.

Sue has also been a ‘Change Lead’ and worked as part of Project Management teams on major Global projects.

Caroline Ely - Associate Consultant

Caroline is a business focused HR professional with 20 years large corporate experience. During her career Caroline has operated as a strategic partner supporting business leaders as they navigate their challenges, both strategic and operational.

Caroline mastered the art of true business partnering working for Companies such as Clifford Chance, Slaughter and May, BNP Paribas, Nexans and General Motors Financial.

With a degree in Social Anthropology and an MSc in International Human Resource Management Caroline has a rich understanding of cultural diversity, particularly as it interacts with global business environment dynamics. Over the years Caroline has developed a strong capability to understand and navigate complex business environments. In this, one of Caroline’s key strengths is her ability to analyze and identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats pertaining to the overall business model. This capacity for understanding the bigger picture and the implications for people strategy is what sets her apart as a true HR business partner.

Since transitioning to the world of independent Consulting Caroline has continued to demonstrate her capability and range, across a variety of sectors, from large corporates to SME’s. As a thought leader, coach and hands on practitioner Caroline has a unique ability to adapt to the need of each client with ease.

Known as a results focused deliverer, Caroline has a naturally collaborative style which allows her to quickly gain trust and confidence with her clients.  It is this approach that enables her to drive projects that deliver truly fit for specific purpose solutions.
